Where is my letter,
From the girl I've loved forever?
And where is my mail,
From seven seas, didn't it sail?
I've waited for days...
And I don't know if her love stays.
I've waited for months...
And her beauty still enchants.
I've waited for years...
But today, I have no more fears.
My long wait is over...
I'm now a happy father!
Oh! a note from her...
That says she is now a loner.
She still loves me...
How I wished that I'm still free!
I suddenly wept...
For the love I've treasured and kept.
The postman and I...
Now wish her to say goodbye!
