Silent Night Lonely Night Laying motionless In the middles of a clearing I watch stars moving silently overhead Through a porthole in the trees Majestic pines Reaching for the passing moon Whispering ancient secrets Through near silent winds I feel the earth Spinning beneath me I run my hands Over years of fallen needles And centuries of soil I let the earth Work into every pore Returning me To my origins I feel the needles Cradling my head While pricking My bare skin I smell the woods Creeping in around me Swallowing me Accepting me I can taste the dew Settling in the air And on my skin A breeze moving Across the ground Dras shivers From deep within My soul As the forest shared Its secrets with me On this silent night Lonely night
