The Staedel, an old fashion Museum one of a line of beautiful old and contemporary museums on the river Main, has a magnificent collection of German Expressionism plus a collection of Medieval and Renaissance Art. The Painting " The Geograph by Johannes Vermeer, 1669 ", belongs to the Museum. Vermeer didn't produce a lot of painting, most of them are small scale, they are very rare and considered to be the jewel of every collection.
