This is our new political page, the previous one was dedicated to the last PM Netanyahu, I've put it into the garbage, I don't want to remember him, I am a little bit sorry because it had a lot of jokes and political caricatures that were sent to me by my guests. ( 1999 ), now, the beginning of 2001, there is a chance Netanyahu is coming back, God forbid, I'm sorry I throw away every thing.
May 2004, Sharon brought to his Likud party his plan to pull out from Gaza, he lost the vote in his party, this had put him in a very bad situation, he tried to soften the plan but also it didn't pass the vote, he is now the prisoner of the extreem right wing of his party, Netanyahu jumped on this situation and he is fighting to take over the party from Sharon.
Before this situation we thought that only the Likud could bring peace, if the Likud would bring a peace plan the Avoda party would vote for it, but it the Avoda would bring it the Likud would not allowed it. Now we know that the Likud in this Keneset won't be able to bring any peace plan.
March 2004, Ahmad Yasin was murdered by Israeli helikopters, we said he was eliminated, I don't regret him being dead but we should let him die of natural causes, he was an old bustard who deserve to die.
ovember 5, 2003.We went to " Kikar Rabin ", to remember him and and the Euphoric time before the murder.
It was a very beautiful memorial, quite, serene, seeing these people reminded me that there are few sane people in our country, too few, about 100 000, out of 6 000 000, there was not primitive shoutings, hatefull faces and blood thirsty people.
November 5, 2003, eight years after Prime Minister Rabin was assasinated, for me that was an earth quake, before I thought all our problems are solved, peace would break between our country and the Arab nations and we'll start to live like a normal country after 2000 years.
One political, religious, fanatic criminal murdered Rabin and wiped out all my dreams. The worse came after, in that elections the Likud party with Netaniyahu came to power, for me it was a night mare, from this time on I realised that this is not my country anymore, I lost all interest in this country, it's people and it's landscape, I was kicked out of my home never to come back.
September 2003, another big storm in Israel: 27 pilots, most of them not in the army and most of them not flying any more, wrote a letter and read it in a press conference saying that giving pilots in the army orders to drop bombs on human target ignoring the fact that it may hit innocent civilians included women and children is immoral order that shouldn't be obeyed.
Our extreme right government couldn't bear this, and shouting as they are used to do in the parliament demanded to take the pilots to jail, to throw them out of the army, to fire the pilots that work in El Al because of their involvement in this letter.
I would like to address my letter to our chief of staff: " I'm sure that giving such an order is immoral, giving and order to kill a bastard who deserve to die and twenty innocent civilians including women and children, is too great burden to put on a young soul who will carry it for the rest of his life, I think if they think they have to do it they must ask for volunteers explaining them that some day they may be facing a court marshal for obeying this order with their commanders who gave the order".
General Halutz, the air force chief in a stupid interview when asking what does he feel when the bomb leaves the airplane to the target, said " a click ", not understanding the question and giving such an answer shows what is his morals, he is the last person to lecture the above pilots.
June 2003, the "Blitz War" on Iraq is over, no weapons of mass distraction were found, America now will control the Iraqi oil which I think was the main issue of this war, now America can start to deal with the Israeli - Palestinian situation.
This is a much more complicated situation, on the one side the impossible chairman Arafat and on the other side prime minister Sharon, Arafat won't fight the Hammas because they give him his power and Sharon will never remove a single settlement, so we'll see president Bush handles this both tough cookies.
27 March 2003 George Bush started shooting and as a good cowboy he did it well, in 20 days he did a tremendous job, toppled the Saddam regime and now he starts to build a new one, he hopes to start a new democracy in Iraq but I'm sure the Iraqi people is not ready for democracy, in all the world there is not a single Muslim democracy, one can blame the religion, but I think it's a primitive societies and backward peoples, it will take them few generations to be ready.
Israel in more then 50 years of independence got a lot of immigrants from the Arab countries, I think now there is more then 70% of Israeli citizens from Arab countries and it did change the political scene in Israel. In the Arab countries they believe that a ruler has to be a dictator, he has to be strong, cruel and corrupt, otherwise he is not well appreciated. I think this is the reason the Israeli majority elected Sharon and the Likud party to rule, Sharon is strong, cruel, corrupted with a lot of ties in the Israeli mafia, so he was elected and shall be elected again no matter the the bad situation of the poor Israeli people or the political situation, this is the way of the ruler.
First March 2003, " If you are going to shoot, shoot don't talk ", it looks that this is what Saddam Hussein is going to say to George Bush before launching his next 9 / 11 attack.
January 2003, Elections in Israel, a big victory for the Likud party, the voter gave his vote, the majority wants a right government, they are going to get it.

Nothing have changed since the last entry from October 2001. It's still unbearable, terrorists attack, Israel strikes back and visa versa, it reminds me of the old story: " A scorpion had to cross a river, he found a frog and asked him to take him on his back across, the frog said he is afraid the scorpion shall bite him, the scorpion gives his word not to bite because he also shall drown, so the frog takes him on his back, in the middle of the river the scorpion bites the frog, before both drowning the frog asked why, we both are going to die now? The scorpion tells him he is sorry, he couldn't help it, it's in his nature".
Sharon and Arafat can't deliver peace, because it is in their nature.
19 October 2001, the political situation is unbearable, the Palestinians send terrorists to Israel, we retaliate, they retaliate back and I don't see an end to it, I'm waiting for the big explosion, I lost my optimism, I think an arrangement must be forced on both sides and even this wont take us to a better place.
I'm afraid Iraq is going to send missiles to Israel and I Israel is going to return and then nobody knows where it's going to take us.
July, 31, 2001. P.M. Sharon promised the mobs " Peace and security ", meanwhile, no peace and no security, Sharon found out it's very easy to talk, it's harder to deliver, but he achieved his goal, he is the prime minister. The mobs want to have action, war, killings, in his acts Sharon is more responsible, his voters and his party have no patience, I hope nobody from the right extremists will murder him, it was done no long time ago. Meanwhile Netanyahu prepares for the office, he starts to promise the mobs that he is going to cope with the terror, they believe him, they are going to replace Sharon, they don't remember him or they don't want to remember.
May 20, 2001, The tension between the Israelis and the Palestinians rise, yesterday there was a suicide bomb in Netanya, six people died and around 80 injured, then Israel sent planes and bombed Gaza, Tulkarem and Jenin, 20 dead and many injured were reported, in the Arab summit they decided to stop talks and connections with Israel, this remind me very clearly the beginning of other wars, tension rises slowly till it comes to the " point of no return " in which nobody can stop it.
The Palestinians shall retaliate and we retaliate back, nothing shall stop it till we'll have an all over war with the Palestinians and our Arab neigbours, a lot of people are going to die, nobody can win because of the U.N. and the U.S.A.
After the war we'll all lick our wounds and go to talks shepherd by the U.N, all of us shall lose.
This is the way of the Likud party with their extreme right wing partners, this is what the majority of Israelis wanted, that's why they elected the Likud, now we'll all eat it.
April 2001, Slowly the tension builds up, the Palestinians are shooting and we shoot back, they cry to the world but nobody listen, they wanted it, they wanted Sharon and wanted the Likud, Barak wanted to give them every thing but they wanted more, now they are going to be satisfy or not with nothing.
Sharon says he is not going to speak or negotiate while there is fire, the fire is not going to stop so, no talking.
January 2001, What we feared happened, Sharon is the Israeli PM, the pressure builds up slowly, he promised he's going to fight terror, now he'll happily do it, the victims our young soldiers and Arabs, you have to ask your self, " and what will come after? ", are we going to speak with them now or we have to kill and be killed before speaking, the mobs from both sides want to fight first and I'm sure it's going to happen.
What I feared most happened, Sharon in the new Israeli PM. This is a beginning of a dark period for Israel.
February 6, 2001, the Israeli elections day, in few hours the votes will count, according to the poles Sharon in going to win big, the Israeli Arabs did not vote and also a lot of left wing idealists said they're going to put a blank vote, they say they are punishing Barak but they are punishing themselves and all of us.
January, 2001, we're approaching elections for the Israeli P.M, according to the poles, Sharon leads and he may be the new P.M, it seems that we forget very easily who is Sharon.
A lot of Israelis are cross with p.m Barak, they thought he'll come and in a minute will bring peace and prosperity, nothing may come so quickly, in this hostile region, we have the Orthodox Jews that think that God told them to die or to kill in order to keep all Jerusalem intact,( what kind of religion is this and what God tell people to kill? ), by the way most of these religious people don't serve in the army, they are not allowed by god, they want all the others to kill and to fight till their last drop of blood, the religious Arabs, the same, now we have the leftists, the natural supporters of Barak, they are cross with, he didn't do it fast enough, they say they'll put a blank note at the votes, they don't want to hear that they are all Barak's voters and by putting a white note they'll help bring Sharon back and we also have the Israeli Arabs who usually vote for the left, now they're not going to vote because of the Entifada, leaving Barak with less voters, they don't want to hear that they also help Sharon, they say Sharon and Barak are the same for them.
I thing that Barak is the only politician left fit for this tough job, till he came to power in all the talks nobody mention the most important issues, like Jerusalem and the Arab refugees, they said we'll leave these problems to the end, now is the end. On top of all the problems, there is Peres, he is most respected, instead of helping Barak he disturbs by trying to replace Barak as the next P.M.

October 2000, we are at the " Entifada " again, if this was the scene at Micronesia, it would have been beautiful sight, a small nation is fighting for it's independence against a most powerful state, a state too powerful to fight such a small enemy so the only way is to give up and let this mouse win (From " The Mouse that Roared " ).
This is Israel, the Palestinians are fighting their battle of independence, nobody could stop them even not us. They don't have an army so they use their children, women and their mobs which is no better then our mobs, the difference is that our mobs says he is fighting with God behind them.
I don't understand Arafat with this fight he is bringing back Netanyahu with his right wing extremists, I think this nation needs another war with thousands of casualties to understand that we'll have to seat at last with them on the negotiating table and settle all the differences, why not do it now ?
I'll hate Arafat for bringing back Netanyahu.
This paragraph was written when PM Barak won the Israeli elections in 1999, we were happy, we thought we'll never see Netanyahu again. Now, a year later it seems that Netanyahu is going to win again the elections, this is my worst nightmare but it seems the Israeli people forgot, September 1995.
The good thing that will come out of it there are going to be a lot beautiful jokes and caricatures about him.
Where ever I open the television I see pictures taken in the Israeli jails, all the prisoners are religious, they wear " Cipa ", they have beards and they all look like a typical Shass party voters, they say they are innocent, they are in jail because they are Sephardic Jews.
Arie Dery went to jail for stealing and taking the party money, all the Shass voters consider him a saint, I got a picture of him as St. Dery.
Last week a new president was elected in Israel, there were two candidates, Shimon Peres who is famous all over the world for his pursue for peace between Israel and the Arab countries and Moshe Kazav, a pale politician from the Likud party, Kazav was elected, we are all ashamed, he was elected politically because the party of Perez is weak now. The mobs were happy, they don't want to see an intellectual at this seat, they wanted to see one of them and they succeeded to our shame.
On the 17 of June a new PM Mr.. Ehud Barak was elected and yesterday the new government was sworn in the Israeli parliament, it's a difficult situation, a coalition government, a lot of parties, I'm sure Mr. Barak will know to handle this situation. The members of his party are not satisfied, not everybody got what he hoped for but they have to remember that if not Barak, Netanyahu and the Likud party would be in power now.
Last week there was a big religious gathering of Rabbies, they declared that giving back land from israel is a sin, it's sure they are against peace, it happened before, our prime minister Rabin was murdered because of such cause, it's going to happen again, what is their religion? It's sure is not Judaism, they are sure are not religiouse, what religion calls for murder?
