• How does one learn to draw, carve, paint, do calligraphy, etcetera?

  NEVER say, "I could never do that." Try, try and try some more. Experiment with things you find interesting. Ask questions. Once you've found something that works, practice, practice, practice!

• How do you come up with your ideas?

  Many ideas come through experimentation. A project may take an unexpected turn and change into something completely different. Try lots of different stuff. I've had a long history of idea practice. (The scene blurs and music changes key, as I have a flashback of my childhood.)
