Little Snippets of Wisdom
gathered from various sources
(and often disjointed)
- Prayer is not always answered the way we want. Even Jesus got a negative reply to one of His Prayers (Mark 14:36).
- The Adversary, or Satan, is the enemy in the Bible. If you're against Biblical teaching you're aiding the Adversary, and hence, anti-Christ.
- At the end of the Harry Potter movie, Dumbledore (the headmaster of the wizard school) told Harry the secret to his power. He said that forces of Evil could not harm Harry because someone loved him enough to die for him. (I, personally, don't find J.K. Rowling's writings to be evil.)
- Atheism is a crutch to help the weak maneuver through the stumbling blocks of morality and conscience. (Sure, I'll admit that Christianity is a crutch, too. I'm crippled without Christ! What a great crutch --holding on to Jesus.)
--building on the last statement: Agnosticism is the coward's way out.
- It takes more faith not to believe than to accept Christ.
- If music draws you to God, it's Godly music --regardless of what kind it is!
- Thinking homosexual thoughts no more makes you a homosexual than thinking about building a building makes you a builder.
- God doesn't shout over your hustle and bustle. You need a quiet time to listen to His still small voice.
- lots more to come in the future
