Your Journey Has Already Begun |
The Tower exists for all of us and in all of us. It stands at the gateway to our subconscious minds, guardian to our mentally created fears and obstacles. We have all built "Towers" at times in our lives, and fallen from percieved heights. When first Tower of Babel was destroyed, mankind was scattered throughout many lands and made to speak different languages. Metaphorically, this "babble" also exists inside of you, obscuring your highest truth. The same intolerance and confusion exists in our society, often reflected onto people different than ourselves. The Tower is coming again; have we learned our lesson yet? Those with the courage to confront the Tower and seek their shadow side will cleanse themselves and sow new seeds of promise in their lives. The Tower will manifest on the physical plane at the Burning Man Festival of 1998, rising out of an ancient Nevada lakebed for only a few days. Participants can make a conscious choice to release fears that are holding them from achieving their highest potential. This process will encourage people to take individual responsibility for their experiences. On Saturday, September 5, the Tower and all it represents will be destroyed during a fire and dance performance. This powerful, visionary experience will benefit the Burning Man community and beyond, as participants carry their memories home with them. Read on to learn more about The Tower project and how to volunteer. The participant comments page has feedback about how the Tower project has already affected visitors to this site, and the journal tells of my experiences throughout the past year. Creating, building, and choreographing a project this large is a labor of love, and I couldn't have done it alone. Many thanks go to all of the people who have helped me bring The Tower to fruition. Continue with us by reading the the Legend, which is the best account we have of the journey to The Tower. Remember that you are not alone. Good luck on your travels!
