When cow and buffalo manuers were allowed to be decomposed for seven weeks.
It was found that Protozoa, green algae and rotifer were developed. Addition of pond-water
containing Copepod into aquariums and let them stand for seven weeks. The Cladocera was then added.
Upon further observation of the water in aquarium, it was found that the Copepod, Ostracod and Cladocera
genus Moina were developed. Besides, insect larvae and mosquito
larvae were found in the buffalo manuer aquarium. Moina could survive
in cow manuer and buffalo manuer aquarium for four weeks and three weeks respectively.
From the examination on the physical properties of water, results showed that the pH range of water
in both aquarium suitable for Moina development were between
7.2-7.6 respectively. The range of water temperature in both aquarium were between 25.5-27.0 ๐C
and 27.0-29.5 ๐C \and the atmospheric temperature were between 28.0-30.0 ๐C
and 29.0-31.0 ๐C respectively.
