Some of Artist's accomplishments include:
- Rzeszow municipal award in the division of culture and art for outstanding artistic achievements and contributions to the region's heritage ( 1996 ).
- II Prize in the second international Bienale of Art "Srebrny Czworokat" Przemysl '96.
- An award- purchase of the his painting by the National Museum of the Przemysl province located in Przemysl.
Some facts about the artist
artist and scholar W. Taranczewski in 1965. Currently, he teaches artistic drawing and painting at the Art Preparatory Academy in Rzeszow, Poland. Emil Polit is a full member of the Polish Professional Artists' Association (ZPAP).
Emil Polit specializes in portrait and landscape. He has had over 60 exhibitions in Poland and abroad. His works can be found in museums, corporate collections and private collections throughout Europe and the United States.
Over the thirty three years of his work, Emil has received multiple recognitions for his artistic achievements.
In 1998 and 1999 Emil participated in two auctions to benefit Polish charities through the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in New York NY.
His most recent work includes the redesign of the interior of the Rzeszow Cathedral. Emil Polit was responsible for the interior concept design, as well as nearly all of the paintings displayed in the Cathedral, including the two large (approximately 4m/16 ft tall) center altar pieces depicting the region's patron saints.
