Ambition at High School Graduation: I planned to get married (to whom I didn't know), have children and NEVER work. What I'm doing now: I'm married, have children and work eleven hour days. Along the way: Worked for KMart, the IRS, Community Day Care Center of Lawrence, MA, legal secretary and, finally, day care. In the future I plan on: NOT doing day care. I want to be retired, traveling and enjoying grandchildren. Favorite Teacher: Mr. Ruperecht Because: in the three years I was at HKIS, he and his wife had two children. The day after each of them were born he would spend the entire class time telling us about it. Also, he was a fun guy. The Stupidest thing I did in high school: Tell a certain boy that I "liked" him. He hardly ever spoke to me after that. Something I'll never forget: When Miss Culver, the typing teacher, would give us a really short assignment and then let us spend the rest of the period in the cafeteria drinking Coke and eating chips. My best memory: Serendipity Day. We didn't have to wear uniforms. What freedom! Other things I remember: The drug problem; the death of a student from drugs; Art Linkletter coming to speak to us; Choir concerts; Jesus Christ Superstar; My most embarrassing moment: When we were doing a short play based on the Peanuts comics and I forgot my line and had to walk off stage to get it. It still embarrasses me. Something I've learned: To make everything you do, no matter how small, something to be proud of. You'll never have any regrets. Something I'm proud of: My children - they are my finest achievement. Regrets: That I didn't take advantage to the fullest the wonderful education being offered to me at HKIS. It was the best school I attended. Rumors I've heard: The only classmate I keep in touch with is Libby Adcock. I really enjoy her letters but I'm afraid I'll have to let her tell her secrets. I am looking for Anne Gore. Last I heard from her she was living in Virginia (I think). Does anyone know where she is? She had two older sisters, Carol and Beth. I think Beth also went to HKIS. Help me find her! |
