"Cyberstuf" had this to say about us in the 1st December, 1999 edition of Channel Y, one of Bombay's youth magazines...
What do two college guys - one who's just graduated and one who's going to finish his engineering in six months time, do, just to venture onto something different and slowly start the dough rolling in as well ?
Start a new Web journal and other Net services, as Vikram Vaswani and Harish Kamath will tell you.
Meet the duo who launched HITG, (full form's a secret they say, to maintain a certain degree of curiosity about this venture...but you could e-mail them to find out what it is) a Web newsletter that gives you info on technology and Net-related concepts every fortnight.
The journal which is of the size of around 12 to 20 K (and once hit 25 K when over-enthusiasm tripped up those guys) started on September 1, 1998 and has been a regular and well-written job since then.
They basically select a Web site or a technological concept and write all about it. The Web site is usually a quality site rated by them after they have done a good deal of surfing and thorough research on it.
Some of their earlier stories include one on portals, another on live web cams, one on the concept of electronic cards...to name a few.
HITG is the fortnightly result of exhaustive research (Harish's department) put together by some creative writing (by Vikram).
These guys have also started a Web-based free buy'n'sell service called FreeTr@de. It's a notice board for you to put up your buying and selling requirements.
To subscribe to HITG, write to them at hitg@usa.net with the words SUBSCRIBE HITG as the subject. You can access their Web site at http://www.bigfoot.com/~hitg or http://www.psynet.net/hitg
