Dr. Wilburn who saw the portrait of the Haitian Queen and liked the concept. The reference photo was taken with a videocamera at his residence during Thanksgiving dinner in 1996, though he didn't dress that way for dinner! The clothing was added digitally and colors were carefully chosen to match the interior design of his study, where it now hangs. |
