The saint is shown half-length and full-face, wrapped in a bright red maphorion with an exquisite gold ornamental decoration. One hand holds a cross , the symbol of her martyr’s death, the other is held in front of her with the palm turned outward. The type of the face and the style in which it is rendered  are similar to those of the icon of St. Paraskeva and St. Nedelya. This attributes them to the same master painrter. The border is richly ornamentedwith gildedd open-work carving. The grooves are painted red and blue.
