Using the Animation Wizard to create a simple animation

GIF Construction Set is capable of creating complex animations but it can also be a very easy tool to begin with. The "Animation Wizard" feature lets you quickly create an animation without having to know too much about the process. The following procedure take you through the steps without detailed explanations. (That's for another session).

Go into GIF Construction Set. Under "File" choose "Animation Wizard".

The following step will load in your pictures. hit . Where it says "Look In" at the top of the screen, select the drive where your pictures are (Drive A if they are on the floppy disk).

Click on the first picture file you want and hit or double-click on the file. The program will load the file in and automatically go back to the file selection screen.

Click on the second picture and hit . When you have all of the files you want hit .

Now you can take a look at the animation. Hit and see your masterpiece!

The animation may be running at the wrong speed or cycling in the wrong direction, but you can learn how to change those in the future. Save your animation to disk. It will be a .GIF file type. You can view it on any computer that has Netscape or Internet Explorer by going under "File", "Open". You can view it in any drawing program that allows GIF files but it won't animate. Congratulations on your new animation!
