First signs of spring
The first sign of spring is people starting to wear sweaters and light jackets.
You also start to see the street venders out on the warmer days.
Our Balloon-man who blows up long thin balloons and ties them into little toys for the
children. (Donations appreciated)
Our Jewelry man who sits in his homemade enclosed jewelry booth. The booth has windows on all
sides which he opens as needed. He designed the booth to allow him to sit out the cooler
weather as well as for security of the merchandise.
And the skateboarders come out in force, and must be kept in check by the police.
The police will warn them a few times. If that doesn't work, a citation is issued.
And the college students start hanging out.
Eating outside
In the warmer weather, most area restaurants and food cart owners will cater to those who
would rather eat outside. Restaurants will set an area outside their store with plastic
furniture and rope of the area as their serving area. Food cart owners will serve to those
who wish to be served quickly and take their food with them.
