Iñaki Castillo was born in Pamplona (Spain) in 1952.He lives in Barcelona since 1978. He graduated in Fine Arts from the Universitat de Barcelona. Among his exhibitions, the first one he did in Barcelona took place in 1985 in Galeria Metrònom in Barcelona. It was a collection of photographs. The photos, presented in real size, were of the walls in the neigborhood of Born where the gallery is located. |

Castillo says: “I use clay in order to study the shape. Clay is moldeable. were among some of the pieces shown in that exhibition. In Galeria Alter Ego a trash bag made from wood was hung from the ceiling. The wood was taken from the old Casa de la Caritat now site of the Centre de Cultura Contemporànea de Barcelona. Castillo's presented last exhibition was held in Pamplona in agost 1998. He is currently working on his own creation which is to be part ot a projet where a total of 14 artists will create their own work in a wood of the Pyrenees mountains. |
