me?
hmm...good question...
I'm Jodi ( Joyfulgirl, JJ, Jodeballs, Jode, DaisyJo, Jodifer *there ya go, greggrrs!*, JoJo, etc.)
I'm 20...not a very exciting age, but 21 is coming *smiles*
I'm from Lansdale, PA. A very boring town. If you live here, you know. Denny's is excitement
for us.
I'm a Lit major at West Chester U in PA. But what I want to do is write. Poetry -- all the time. I could live off
it...seriously, as long as I have a pen and paper, I'm fine. I could do without food, honest :) Nothing would make
me happier than to be able to write for a living. Well -- that, and fall in love.
Yep, I'm a romantic. I've fallen in love twice in my life. Both times it didn't work out, but I haven't gotten
cynical about it yet. Love is the one thing I'm not pessimistic about. I always have hope that I'll find it. Sometime
soon I hope.
I love music! All different kinds. Tori Amos, Counting Crows, Ani Difranco, Peter Mulvey, Fleetwood Mac, Tracy
Chapman, Bob Dylan, Alanis Morissette, Dave Matthews Band, The Nields, Dan Bern, U2, Peter Gabriel, Jim's Big Ego, Moby,
Poe, Patty Griffin, James Taylor, Elvis, Moxy Fruvous, The Beatles, Jewel, The Doors, Benny Goodman, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sarah McLachlan, CPR, 7 Year Bitch, Bruce Cockburn, Nirvana, Morphine, June Rich, Cowboy Junkies, Aimee Mann, Mazzy Star, Heather Nova -- you get the idea.
I love people. I like to watch them, talk to them...I just love company. I mean, there are times I like to be alone,
but most of the time I crave people. I never really noticed how much I needed people till last year at school.
Now I don't think I could live without them.
I'm completely not a sports person. I've never played any sports...I'm one of the least cooridinated
people you know, trust me. But I love to watch hockey and soccer. There's something about the competition in them
that I like. The players try so hard, they get so into it. They're full of determination. Did you ever see a close
up of a player on tv? They have power in their eyes -- it's amazing.
I love to read eventhough I don't get much time to anymore. My favorite books? Catcher in the Rye (JD Salinger),
On The Road (Jack Kerouac), The Secret History (Donna Tartt), Our Town (Thornton Wilder), A Mid-Summer Night's
Dream (Shakespeare). Okay the last two are plays, but they're still books -- they count! :) I just started The White Hotel by D.M. Thomas...it looks really good. So we'll see how it turns out.
