The Dragon Boat racing has been around for thousands of years. Every year, in the mid of June, many dragon boats will race in rivers and lakes to commemorate a great poet also a patriot--Ch'u Yuan (343-290 B.C.). Whom purged himself in the river to warn his king the great danger from a strong neighboring country. Soon after his death, boats were set sailed to find his body. The tradition went on. Now, it became a popular sports.
