Whenever one of my friends emails a questionnaire to me, even if I have already filled it out several times, I simply cannot resist completing it. Unless I make more friends, I have decided to just provide a link to my answers.
I finished Aldous Huxley's "Point Counter Point" Saturday. It's my plan to provide some selected reviews and ultimately, to critique the list itself. I just ran out of books to read, which is funny considering that it was almost exactly a year ago that I bought a ton of books in order to start working on the list. A couple of people have loaned some of their favorite books (not on the list) to me so I really need to finish those first. I am now reading, "A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius" by Dave Eggers.
Weekend was ok though I was depressed that one of my coworker friends was fired on Friday, my birthday of all days. Poor guy. :( I received great presents so I have had to update my wishlist. As a matter of fact, I am considering a trip to the mall to fulfill some of my dreams with my birthday money. I really want to but I feel lazy and would be happier if I just spent my day doing nothing. My life has been so busy lately that I feel worn out.
Below you will find another project listed. I have actually been doing it all along but I never thought to post it. IMDB.com gets a visit nearly every day because some film is always popping into my head or some person. I like that you can read the biography of Beethoven or Dennis Miller, Aldous Huxley or Peter O'Toole. I have always had a tremendous amount of respect for their site's design, features and usability. Their top 250 movies list is very interesting so I have decided to give it a try. I have been keeping track so I know that I have already seen 70% of what is listed. The list is updated by people worldwide so some videos I may have a difficult time locating, the japanese movies for instance. Also, it changes on almost a daily basis due to hype of brand new movies, etc. so I will never have it fully conquered. For instance, "The Two Towers" film increased its position at least 10 spots shortly after the DVD release. It all evens itself out eventually so I keep that in mind when I am trying to decide which to see next.
