Passing Beauty

Passing beauty, gliding by.
My heart won't let my mouth say "Hi."
Fall in love a second or two
And in that time I long for you
Oh, if our eyes by chance should meet
My heart would surely cease to beat
And in that time I'll utter "Hi."
In the moment before I die
So sweet to see; so sweet to smell
I'm going to miss that in fiery hell
But if fate will make her respond
For another day, I'll hold on
Or perhaps 'til we meet again
I'll put off dying at least 'til then
But who is this ahead I spy?
A passing beauty, gliding by.
