Located in Los Angeles County, but drawing membership from at least four other California counties. The Village Addicts have two alternate meeting sites, one in the City of El Segundo, and the other in Van Nuys. Meetings are held on Saturdays in alternating, even months and have an average attendance of 100 plus members. One highlite of the meetings is the Pot Luck Luncheon, which starts at noon, and features all the members culinary talents. The meeting begins at 1pm and adjourns at approximately 4pm. The meetings include seminars on villiage related subjects, display demonstrations, work shops, swap and sell tables and exhibitors from all over the country as well as lots of other information and fun. There are drawings for door prizes, many donated by our supporting Dept 56 dealers.
During the Holiday Season our clubs Co-President Ruth Graf, organizes a tour of the homes, whereby willing members demonstrate their hospitality and give all a chance to see their marvelous displays. This is one of the most enjoyable things we do as a group. Last year on seven consecutive Saturdays, starting in November and continuing into January, 27 homes participated.
Club dues are $24.00 per year, per family, including the Village Addicts Gazette, which can be purchased separately for $18.00 per year.
