A CONSIDERATION

Toys usher children into the world of adults. They entice.

TheseTOYZ, however, are more indicative of the realities of being

grown up - the dangers, the stoppage, the breakdown, the tenuousness.....

Small scale sculptures in various humble mediums plaster,

cardboard, styrofoam - that appear toylike, are arranged on an oriental

carpet, platform, or in a sandbox construction, surrounded by graphic work depicting images of TOTZ (not-so-proper Victorian children)

• Together they will form a rich and evocative tableau, furthering

  . ....................

  the process of 'retrouvaille', or finding new form and meaning in the

   

  remixing and reconsideration of artworks that these two artists have

   

  made separately and now combine.
