A town of about 2,800 people halfway between Cleveland and Columbus, famous for its canoe liveries and the fantastic Loudonville Free Street Fair. I lived 10 miles away but did my 1st-grade through 12th-grade schooling in town, somehow avoiding the closer Perrysville Elementary School (in a town of 500, 5 miles from home). A quaint and somewhat charming place, despite the usual small-town drawbacks like right-wing politics and a complete lack of ethnic diversity. A beautiful natural setting and not too bad a place to grow up in.
