Wellington, New Zealand

2003-present

Wellington is groovy--very hilly and green and surrounded by ocean and harbour--plus a pretty vibrant, compact downtown and distinctive outlying neighborhoods. It's very very windy as well. The population is about half a million in the metropolitan area, but sometimes it feel like a larger city (when you're downtown) and other times it feels like a small town (when you're getting a $2 mince pie from Patricia's in Island Bay).
