DITKO'S GHOSTLY TALES

Ditko returned to Charlton after leaving Marvel in 1996. While Captain Atom and the Blue Beetle and Ditko's most well-known work from that period, Ditko did more Charlton Ghost-related titles than any other work in his personal history. The May '66 issue of Ghostly Tales (#55) marked his beginning on such titles, and it continued through Ghostly Haunts, Ghost Manor, Haunted, Haunted Love, and the most-famous Many Ghosts Of Dr. Graves. Ditko was allowed free reign at Charlton and it showed in the devotion to the work. The stunning detail in these works often dwarf his mainstream work from this period for DC or Marvel. The image presented here is for the cover of GHOST MANOR (v2) #28.
