KONGA
Konga was a honkin' ape, who grew from a tiny monkey into a giant black ape
thanks to the interference of Man. A Dr. Charles Decker parachuted into tribal lands in
Africa, and milked the natives for their growth-inducing seeds. Decker gave this to Konga,
who shot up to giant-size. A side effect was that a mental link had been set up between
the ape and the doctor. Whenever the Doctor has bad thoughts about a colleagues, look out,
cause Konga started to maul them all! Ditko drew 14 issues (ending with #15 in Nov '63)
of this title, plus ''The Return Of Konga'' in 1962 and ''Konga's Revenge'' in the summer
of 1963, including the image presented to your left, which is the cover for issue #5,
from March of '62.
