STARMAN
The cover presented here, from ADVENTURE COMICS #467 (Jan '80) marked Ditko's first work on
Starman, a creation of Ditko's and Paul Levitz. #467 was also Adventure's change back into
a standard monthly-sized book from the DC Dollar Comic format; Ditko's Starman sharing half
the book with Plastic Man. Starman was secretly an ascendent of royalty, sentenced to death
as a rival for the throne desired by his sister, who was able to channel stellar radiation
through the gaunlets on his wrists. The story ran 12 issues until the end of 1980 before
being replaced in Adventure Comics.
