serving in the Union Army. They were from the following states:

Kentucky 1
Pennsylvania 11
Missouri 1
Wisconsin 8
Michigan 1
Ohio

Massachusetts 3
New Jersey 1
Illinois 2
Maine 1
Indiana
2 Rhode
Island 1
District of Columbia 1
There were many Zouave units in name only who did not wear
the Zouave uniforms or left no record of their uniforms..
