Lark! I never knew! Finally clicked on the URL at the bottom of your sig from a post on THE list. Imagine my surprise to find a WEB site devoted to something else other than our obsession! I too love cemeteries and some of the one's in MA and NH date back to colonial times.

I don't think it's morbid to have an interest in cemetaries. People who feel that way are probably not very comfortable with the concept of death. I'm a Catholic and we believe in praying for souls departed. I find cemetaries to be peaceful... I am an rtist, too. I really like your work!

Very beautiful website! I to share a sense of wonder when it comes to cemetaries, especially to sculptures within them. I had no idea there were such detailed statues in the Texas area. Check out my website and see some of the stuff I've done with ceme aries in the California area. Keep adding cool stuff and I'll keep looking.

i thought there was no one left who could look past what other people think, a trendy anybody would not enjoy the peace and fullness of your photos just because they would place a block in their mind to keep from taking in what you express... just because they were taken in a cemetary, a fact of life that people who are afraid of death like to hide. thanks for your art.

Beautiful.....your photographs are an inspiration and I agree with you - churchyards can be very restful places. I have always loved Angels and particularly liked your selection of these. As a very small girl my parents would view stately homes and gard ns....I often got "lost" and could always be found near any angel statues in the vicinity!! I think they made me feel safe! A lovely web-site - one I will revisit!

Nice site. I love cemeteries too. I live in Scituate MA which was founded somtime in the 1600 (right after plymouth). Several *really* old cemeteries dating back 300 years. Sounds weird but sometimes when I'm depressed, I like to go for a walk in one f them and it puts things in perspective. Good pics, only complaint is that annoying advertisers window that pops up whenever I access your homepage.

I agree that cemetaries can have a beautiful, mystical quality about them. Your images are nice and crisp and the file size isn't too large. One suggestion I have is to make a thumbnail page so that all of the images aren't loading at the same time. Even ith a 56k connection, it took a while. If you'd like, check out my site to see one way of doing it. I love your background!

I am a long time lover of cemetraies. I have been playing in them since I was a child. Near my fathers house is a cemetary where the most recent grave is from the 1870's. I love to take photographs and do rubbings. Anyone who thinks searching through grav yards is morbid is certainly missing out!

First of all, I have to say that I enjoyed your photography very much. B&W is definately my favorite and your choice of subject(s) is also one that interests me. I liked the intro on the home page. It is often difficult to explain such a fascination wi h someone who might or might not share your interest, or understand it for that matter. Bravo!

I found your page very interesting. I like cementeries also. If you are so interested, you may want to know about mexican traditions, as in our culture -going back to mayans, aztecs, toltecas, etc.- death is something respectable as something to make fun of. On November 1st. we celebrate death day, and there are a lot of processions to cementeries going on, specially in Patzcuaro, Michoacán, which is the most popular. They bring flowers, tequila, bread, and whatever the dead used to like when they were alive, because tradition says that, first, dead children come ack to earth to visit relatives, and when they return, adults do the same. There are altars made at houses, popular sites and, of couse, in cementeries. Death has been an important theme for various artist's (Rivera, Einsteinstein, Tamayo) etc. It's a beautiful tradition that I'm inviting you to meet. You will love it.
