Critical support and acclaim for his work has come
not only from community organisations ( for example- the Story-Telling
Cafe or the ANANSI Foundation and other related bodies) but also from various
Government agencies in Europe and the Caribbean. In the UK the ( National
Year of Reading Campaign) Department of Education & Employment ( UK ),
the Birmingham, Stoke On Trent, Wolverhampton,Walsall, Nottingham and Coventry
Libraries. Numerous schools across the UK have also invited Kwabena to contribute
to their Book Week celebrations.
On many
occasions Kwabena has had the honour of working with famed international
practitioners ( hailing from the Caribbean, Latin America, India, Pakistan,
China, Indonesia , Nigeria Ghana, Bulgaria, Canada, USA and New Zealand)
in this field at concerts and festivals. Many of these practitioners shared
Kwabena's objective of promoting the cultures of indigenous peoples.
