pick up games- a thing that brought our neighborhood
together out on the frozen pond or behind the neighbors'
house throwing the pigskin I had an inferiority complex in
street softball and yard football but on the skates,
November through March? no. Whole days during winter
vacation except to thaw the toes every few hours Nighttime
the right time the spotlights from the houses make the
shoveled snow into the Rockies
Crack the whip and red rover,
sometimes more hockey and hot chocolate when you thawed..
shovelling on skates was even fun...
