ABOUT THE AUTHOR

     If you've already been to the PROFILES section, then you've already some info on me.Yep. You guessed it. I'm LIGHTNING.

     Like I stated in the ABOUT BARKADA section, this is about my friends. So, naturally, I would be included as well.

     We graduated in 1995, all with a bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Technology from Saint Louis University in Baguio City. Actually, we've known each other for years even before we got together and formed our "barkada". It was only during our graduating year that we got close.

     I showed a drawing to them in our "super-hero costumes", and they all got a kick out of it. But I don't think that any of them thought that I would take it this far, let alone publish it on the internet.

     Some of the stuff you read here about the team are true, some are not. Some of the stuff actually happened, while others I just made up to spice it up a bit. So, I guess that's the fun thing about this, trying to figure out what's true and what's not.

     Over the time we've known each other, we've all had our ups and downs, but what really stuck with me was the group closeness we shared. Being with them felt like a family, a second family if you will. Among all my friends, they still hold a special place in my heart.

    it's been about 4 years now, since I conceived the idea of the comic, and in that time we've all grown up.

    Some of us have moved on, some have moved away. Out of the 8 of us, 4, namely Lot, William, Leo, and myself, have continued our education into the field of Medicine. Lea, Imee, and Baba have all gone abroad to work, while Ed'z has taken a job as a clinical Instructor at our alma mater. The 3 stayed and continued to study at St. Louis, while I, after a year of working in a laboratory on Guam, came back to the Philippines to study in Manila.

    I'm currently a medical student,studying at Fatima Medical College of Medicine, in Valenzuela (formerly a part of Manila, but not anymore...so I'm told), this keeps me pretty busy. If I didn't have so much to do, I would probably be able to give out a new issue each month, but as things stand the best I can do is about 1 page per week.

    So, if you come back and find no new developments, please be patient and understand. I'm still here...just really busy.
