THE SETTINGS

     The setting for the comic is in Baguio City, Philippines, the time, the present. I chose Baguio for the simple reason, that's where I'm from.

    Baguio, is the only place where I'm familiar with (especially more than with Manila), so it's only natural that I choose this setting. And I figure since everything seems to happen in Manila anyway (local movies, t.v. shows, events, etc.), why go for the norm?

     Baguio, (if you didn't know) is the Philippines' summer capitol. I'm not much of a historian, so bear with me.Throughout the green and beautiful "City of Pines", (especially in the forested areas), one can find caves which somehow, interconnect with one another (so I'm told), these caves were supposedly used by the Japanese during their occupation during the Second World War, thus they are called "Japanese Caves" (duh.). It was said that the Japanese used these caves to hide treasure, weapons, ammunition, and even people. Today, most of the caves are closed off, "unsafe" for public exhibition. I. myself being a resident of the city, haven't gone so far as to explore them, they can get one's curiosity, especially to get one's imagination going. If people who have lived there for years (me, for example) haven't checked them out, then how would anyone find out that somewhere in that deep labyrinth lies the secret high-tech headquarters of Q.W.I.L.L.L.E.?

     So, in the comic, you'll see the team reside, have meetings, train, and do just about anything in their secret H.Q., somewhere in the Japanese caves.
