ARTISTIC IMPRESSIONS

Sometimes the landscape looks more beautiful--
And people too,
Through a misty, rain-washed blur--
Or through tears.

And sometimes their realities become confused,
A jumble of fact and fantasy,
Like perceiving life's blessings--
Or sorrows--through the stained glass
Of a cathedral window,
With all the colors blending, and a magnified
By the light.

And one of these evenings,
When she's wondering alone in a total trance,
Bathed in the splendor of the sunset's afterglow,
She'll pull away a piece of the sky
And let the stars spill out around her,
Shining with a wonderful radiance,
Like lost chords searching for their music
And finding it here. What a glory!
