BEND OVER THIS WON'T HURT A BIT
The world came to an end in pools of swirling color,
And a flash of blinding, sterile white light,
Like some cosmic nurse saying,
"Bend over, this won't hurt a bit,
Buck up little camper, take it like a man,
Don't be a pussy.
After all, it's what you wanted, isn't it?
You chose your path, and created the means,
And strived, and fought, and bit, and scratched,
To reach your destiny, get your just reward.
Well, you got it, and I hope you're happy.
There's no blue ribbon, no brass ring.
No corner office, no Dean Martin roast,
And not even a spider to weave 'Some Pig' in her web to save you.
Because you've gotten the Big Payback, your just deserts,
Exactly what you asked for.
Some swirling colors, and a flash of blinding, sterile white light,
All the while saying, Don't worry, this won't hurt a bit."
And for your sake...she hopes she's right.
