HAND IN HAND, SISTERS

The ocean waves crashing hard,
Remind them of how she died.
Wasting life for the love,
That fate has never spied.
Destined for loneliness,
They walk hand in hand.
Salt air burning their eyes,
Tears rush forth, they cry.
Cold tide, wets their feet,
Cutting the warmth from inside.
A hard pain they realize,
Learning of love through her eyes.
Missing her they turn back,
Hearing their mother's cry.
Wondering why they are alone,
Only knowing she died.
And what they know of love,
The pain that it leaves behind,
Learning together, sisters forever.
