The phone rang early on Christmas Day.
An excited son was calling to say
That a young babe was born this morn,
A third grandchild to love and adorn.

They called him Joseph, a fitting name
To honor the day their Lord came.
He's a handsome lad with big brown eyes
And an infectious smile no one denies.

A precious gift was handed to her,
A joyous addition to their family tree.
