SUNDAY'S GENTLENESS
Colors softly lacing pillowed clouds across the sky.
The dawn of the day awakened and just beginning to
Rise.
Tall cornfields uncovering stalks of life, green
And brown.
A sweet fragrance fills the countryside here and
All around.
A light shining down upon the old, forgotten trees.
A million miles away from the likes of you and her.
A tired afternoon and a warm, rich lemon sun.
A day still beginning and already nothing to be done.
Lazy butterflies groping and a nearby rising stream.
Sundays are always easy with nothing to do it
Seems.
