THE CHOICE II

Dear Sir--up heavens way,
May he approach you Sir--to say,
He thanks you Sir, that their lands still free,
For all your love and charity.
For work and shelter and for food,
And for hearing prayers, however crude.
He thanks you Sir for good and bad,
Not just for happy, but also sad.
For without the bad, the win, the lose.
They could not show, by the life they live.
Their choice to serve, or take, or give.
And he thanks you Sir for this choice so great,
This choice that lets him choose his fate.
