THE EAGLE II

With outstretched wings, you float on an invisible river.
Moving, yet motionless,
You look down on a patchwork of earth below.

Flying, soaring, gliding,
You are high above the weightier things of life.

You joyfully rise to lofty places,
Free from the bonds of earth.

Someday she, too, will stretch her wings and fly.
Her soul will leave this earthly home
To soar in the beauty of Love's love.
