LET'S KEEP THE SOUL AND SPIRIT OF AMERICA

It seems that all the world is seized by hate and spite,
And all of them fell into despair, being frightened,
And feeling they unable to withstand, resist and fight,
Life isn't safe and future isn't brightened.

Do you remember times they could keep their homes unlocked?
Do you remember times they could stroll fearlessly at night?
Do you remember times they weren't so often shocked?
Do you remember times life wasn't like a fight?

"O these blessed times from our so nearby past..."
Don't long for bygone! Let's turn to the present.
Don't be afraid! They aren't weak. They're strong and fast,
Can overwhelm evil and make life safe and pleasant.

Don't lose again the growing generation,
Regard the family forgotten values and traditions,
Obey the Law, respect each human life and nation,
Compete in being kind, it'll be the best of competitions.

Let's keep the soul and spirit of America,
Let's wage a war against brutality and human wildness,
That every life would be secure and welcome,
And every family would live in friendship, kindness.
LADY LIBERTY REMEMBERS THE REASON

I was a gift to you America, from the people of France
In celebration of the 100th anniversary of American Independence
I came to you in a battleship, in pieces and parts well protected
You built a pedestal for me, so I could be properly erected.

You lit my torch and gave me a safe harbor to guide the ships
I lit the way for your tired and poor whose spirits needed lifts
I greeted your "huddled masses yearning to breathe free"
I represented safety and hope for all from sea to shining sea

Thousands of you will remember me from first sight
Away from your homelands, with promises of futures bright
You came to America for the promise of dignity and freedom
Our country was the future for you in the magical kingdom.

You came, you saw, you worked hard, you conquered and aspired
Your children and grandchildren are successful and admired
However, in the process, you became, selfish and greedy
You have forgotten your roots, and when you were needy

I am over 100 years old and feeling kind of tired and not so grand
Because you took too much for yourselves and emptied the promised land
I ask you only to remember the reasons you left your homelands and friends
Then perhaps this will restore your memories and reverse the bad trends
