This painting was inspired by a Mediaeval Times dinner that we went to on vacation one year. It was great fun, and I have several more paintings that I would like to paint along the same theme. I have in mind a knight after battle on his tired horse, and perhaps a castle at dawn. I would like to thank my friend Jimmy for letting me use his stuff. Thankyou Jimmy :) I have changed the sword to suit myself, adding the jewel, bone handle, and pearls. I also added a mug to go with the tarnished silver jug. (For those of you who are wondering .... yes, I have seen the movie 'Heavy Metal' The title just seemed right for this picture. ;)
