Richard's Circles
6" wide x 8" high
Hand appliqued, machine quilted.
This was my first venture into free form, non-traditional quilting. Before I took a jewelry making class and learned how to make my own quilt hangars, the teacher of that class was kind enough to make a number of hangars for me. I made this for him as a thank you gift. (Yes, that is one of the hangars he made.) He has graciously allowed me to borrow it back several times for quilt shows and for show and tell at chapter meetings. It was also in the Art Quilts Maine 1st Annual Quilt Show and Sale in Kennebunk, Maine, in August, 1999. At the moment it is hanging his retirement villa, Rancho de la Libélula, in Florida.
