2001 travels

For our three-year anniversary our dear friend Louise lent us her car and thereby freed us to do some exploring of our beautiful adopted state. We took the ferry across to Bainbridge Island and drove North towards Port Angeles. We spiraled up to Hurricane Ridge for the fantastic view of the Olympic Mountains. Katjia got to wear a fuzzy snowsuit and eat her first snow.

Then we left the snow and headed north and around west to use the "best" road to get into the Hoh rain forest. It was nearly dark by the time we wound our way into the forest but it was magical and amazing just like our experience a few years ago. I wish we couldve stayed out there for a couple days but alas, our work called us home. After eating burgers (some veggie:))in Forks, WA, we drove home.
