don’t touch me, don’t hate me
hug me, go away
please numb my pain,
and take away this darkness with your love.
tell me why I feel this empty shell around me
sing me a new dream

killing me
laugh
a smile
you have a way with me
you make me see the sunlight,
when I hunger for the darkness
I can feel your warm embrace
when the cold is wrapped around my soul,

terror came before you
but I brushed it off alone,
farther than I’ve ever been before
Snuff the candle, bar the gates and close the curtains
