Psychic Nuclear Points

Greetings, my most beloved friends. Blessings for all of you. The divine power of love flows forth into you, toward you, and through you. Be receptors and let yourselves be enriched in all your being by this gift. This lecture is a particularly joyful one for me to give. It has been prepared in the realm I live in for a long time -- in your terms. It needed quite a bit of preparation. Preparation on your part to be truly ready for absorbing it, but also preparation for us, adjusting the terms for the concepts of your human understanding and language. They need to be squeezed into this narrow box. This needs a great deal of work. It is not an easy task, for here we are dealing with ideas, with verities, with concepts, and with principles for which the human language has no room. Thus you can well imagine that it is not easy to find a way to make these ideas, at least in a tiny part, accessible.

This lecture deals primarily with the creative process in the universe, in the cosmos. However, since I do not give lectures for the purpose of handing out information about generalities -- no matter how lofty these spiritual facts and truths may be -- they must always be directly connected with something that you can use practically in the here and now. There is no metaphysical truth or fact that cannot find immediate application for the task of living, wherever you are in your present state of development. At the beginning this lecture will deal with general aspects and concepts. Then you will see how you can make use of them in a very personal way. Now let us begin.

Creation requires the meeting of two essential principles in the universe. I discussed this before. It is what you, in your human terminology, may best call the masculine and the feminine principles. As I told you, they permeate all of creation. Nothing can ever exist and be created without these forces coming together. They are the active and the receptive principles. These two principles are aspects of one whole. Positive creation requires that these two principles meet in a very harmonious, flexible, and mutually enhancing way. In any kind of negative creation these two principles meet in a clash, in a mutually exclusive way. But the principles remain the same.

You must realize that what I say to you is highly simplified. In this highly simplified way it cannot even remotely do justice to reality. But to whatever degree this is possible, I shall try to bring into human language and convey to you some of the great truths that permeate all of life.

When these two principles meet and interact -- whether this happens in a constructive or in a destructive way -- then the forces of their meeting are tremendous. They come together in a very highly concentrated form and they converge into a single point. We might call these points psychic nuclear points. They are nuclear in the sense that they are a nucleus, a basic, fundamental concentrate, so highly charged with creative matter that a self-perpetuating chain reaction of immense intensity inexorably follows suit. These points form the underlying principle of every created form, of every manifestation, of every event, of every object, of every organism, or whatever.

They are psychic in the sense that they are non-material in nature and that they are essentially an emission of consciousness -- of planning and of thinking, of mind stuff. They are not visible or discernible on the three-dimensional plane. But they are perceivable on the three-dimensional plane by inference, by intuition, and even by logical deduction, if that logical deduction is carried far enough. Also, they can be said to be psychic (not in the sense of occult or mysterious "psychic phenomena") in the sense of being manifestations of consciousness. No creation of anything can take place unless a conscious and deliberate attitude, an intent, thinking, and planning is somewhere imbedded in the force that is brought forth. I have said that the universe consists of consciousness and energy. Yet even while I say this, it is misleading because it suggests that these are two separate factors. They are not separate factors. They are two separate factors only from the point of view of limited human perception. In principle they are one. Every thought is highly charged energy. And energy must be an expression of consciousness. In other words, the one cannot exist without the other. Consciousness sends forth energy through its thought processes, through its intention, through its attitude toward all that is in the universe, toward life itself, toward that which is being created.

Nothing can be created without planning, without an intention, without a purpose, and without a thought behind it all. The psychic nuclear points are really a sequence of psychic events. They cannot be just one point, just one psychic event. One thought leads to another in a series of logical sequences. The series of thoughts leads to actions and to reactions, to newly born facts which, in turn, lead to new facts. These facts form a series of interacting, interdependent chain reactions. Just try to visualize it. One thought brings a certain result. That result brings forth an attitude and a feeling. That attitude and that feeling bring forth an action. That action brings forth a reaction. That reaction brings forth another reaction. And so on and so forth.

These chain reactions are cyclic, they are circular. They are highly charged. Instead of diminishing when the chain reactions compound, they actually become stronger. They are self-perpetuating, self-feeding, and self-augmenting in ever increasing speed and momentum. I might say that they are self-revolving in an ever increasing swirl of charged energy. When the momentum has reached its highest charge, then an explosion follows, which is the culminating point of the specific creation. The creation has now taken form. A new movement of psychic chain reactions follows with the recharge. I will say more about this later. The momentum increases in a spiral movement that goes faster, faster, and faster, until the force converges into one point, so infinitesimal that no smaller measure seems to exist. But that which appears as one point consists of the many forces, of the many forms, and of the thought material that went into the chain of psychic events of that particular creation, even on that miniscule measure.

I have to use terms like measure, size, and time which are aspects of the state of consciousness which the human race has attained, but which really no longer hold true when we speak of such matters as I discuss in this lecture. Adequate terms simply do not exist for many of the concepts I present here. So much of what I say may be misleading if not understood intuitively, and perhaps symbolically. Big and small are really not matters of size. They are in reality exclusive designations to indicate the significance of the creative aspects in question. For example, if the thought that brings forth a new creation is very strong, is unified, is purposeful in terms of the creative plan of evolution; if there are no counter-currents because the thought is in accordance with all the universal laws, then the psychic nuclear point will be large. That is, powerful, durable, of long-lasting impact. The charge and the recharge of the ever evolving cyclic movements, the explosions, and new creation will be an apparently endless chain.

If the thought starting the new chain of events culminating into a psychic nuclear point is insignificant, if the thought is fraught with erroneous assumptions, and therefore is never one-pointed but always countermanded by an opposite force, then the intensity must be less. Even if it seems powerful when seen out of context, nevertheless its durability and its lasting impact must be limited.

Psychic nuclear points exist throughout the entire universe. They can be found everywhere, from the most simple, uncomplex creation to the most differentiated, complex, intricate system imaginable. The variables are infinite. There is no particle of air or ether that is not such a nuclear point. They exist in the air you breathe and live in and move in. The nuclear points that are non-material have their importance for non-material existence. But they are just as important as the materialized psychic nuclear points, for they certainly affect you in that your being is also non-material. You relate to, are affected by, and create non-material nuclear points, whether you are aware of this or not.

There are also materialized psychic nuclear points. Although they are materialized, you cannot measure them, see them, or discern them with your human instruments at this time. As I said before, they can be deduced. But they cannot be seen or measured. This, however, does not mean that they do not have material existence. Every cell is a creation, or the materialization of psychic nuclear points, intact with all the chain reactions, the charge and the recharge, culminating in an explosion, a new creation, and a reformulation of the cyclic movement. Every leaf is a complex interaction of many nuclear points. A gust of wind is a series of psychic nuclear points. The breath you breathe is the same, let alone a whole organism, consisting of bones, muscles, flesh, organs, skin, and tissue. They form an infinitely complicated system of intricately connected psychic nuclear points.

The life that you create for yourself, the philosophy of life that underlies this creation, and the situation you find yourself in at this particular instant are all complicated systems of many convergent and sometimes contradictory or mutually exclusive, as well as mutually enhancing psychic nuclear points. Every instant of living is the end result of many thoughts, intentions, actions, feelings, attitudes, and expressed traits of a long previous history. All of these thoughts, intentions, etc., are in themselves sometimes more and sometimes less complicated systems of psychic nuclear points. All of them together form that one psychic nuclear point that is your life at this moment. The moment now is a psychic explosion which is the end result of millennia, to the last hour you have lived, to the very thought that you actually have finished thinking this very minute. After this explosion, then the pieces fall again into place and re-form either the same pattern of chain reactions or a new one, according to the turn which the consciousness takes.

At the same time, the psychic nuclear point that is the end result of all this past history in the fractional now is already the preparation for the next minute and the ensuing events of chain reactions in the next half hour, the next day, the next month, the next year, the next decades, the next centuries. But since the mind can always be changed -- and is often being changed, is being enhanced, is in a growing state, and has infinite possibility for infinite changes at all times -- then the negative creation can be altered. An important aspect of this pathwork is that you first discover and then become aware of the individual chain of events that you have created; that you discover the highly charged energy and the vitality that is self-perpetuating, that has found its own life, as it were. On this Path you will learn how to change a course that is unsatisfactory to you because it leads to an inorganic and futile life experience.

I have discussed the principle of the benign and vicious circles resulting from the human attitudes. This is only a limited aspect of the principle I am explaining here. It is highly oversimplified and it sheds light on the process only in the barest and most sketchy way. You who are involved in this pathwork have found that where you discover a vicious circle within your psychic system, you are apparently caught in it to all intents and purposes. But you are caught in it until you are aware of its existence and you find what I call the breaking point. This is where you reverse the vicious circle into a benign circle by the specific attitude that sets the circle in motion.

When mankind finds itself in the illusion of being helpless, then it has lost touch with the intentionality that has created the specific situation. In other words, the materialization of a psychic nuclear point. It cannot be emphasized enough that the ongoing momentum and the ever growing force of each psychic nuclear point -- regardless of whether it is a positive creation or a negative creation -- is the result both of a thought and of an intentionality.

Now I will speak about another aspect of this phenomenon. And that is what I briefly referred to before: augmentation. One might suppose that an energy current that has been set in motion will exhaust itself after a while. In the matter of creative forces this is never the case. Instead of force and momentum diminishing, both the force and the momentum become stronger; so do the attitudes responsible for the creation. Even a weak, negative, contradictory psychic nuclear point works according to this principle of augmentation. It, too, perpetuates itself in an ever-increasing momentum until the point of explosion is being reached. However, in this case the explosion may be of weaker impact, the point of culmination reached sooner, with less force gathered. But within the framework of its inner life cycle, the nuclear point must augment itself.

The more you love, the more love there will be in you, and the more love there will be coming to you, thereby recreating more strongly your flow and your capacity of loving, in an ever increasing cycle -- more and more, ad infinitum. This is why it is a misconception to believe that if you love one person, then you cannot love others. In other words, that you have less to give to others or, for that matter, to yourself. You must have more, because the momentum of the intense charge creates more of the same -- in an ever increasing measure -- as long as your consciousness goes with it and does not set up a counter-attitude that creates a contradictory force.

The same applies to anything else. It may be knowledge. It may be a negative intent. It may be emphasis on a specific talent and life expression. It may be a specific attitude -- according either to truth or to error -- in regard to life. Whatever it is, it breeds more of the same, unless you wish first to halt the process and then to reverse it.

As I mentioned, each psychic nuclear point, in its ever-increasing momentum, comes to its own inner explosion, or breaking point. That has nothing to do with the breaking point I mentioned in connection with the vicious circles. The latter is a consciously and deliberately sought measure to reverse a specific negative creation. It often requires a great deal of effort first to look for and then to find the specific such breaking point, and even more effort to follow through the decision to break the cycle mentioned here. But the explosion or the breaking point which I mention here is an inexorable phenomenon that happens constantly. It is really the culminating point where a creation appears, manifests, materializes. (It may materialize itself on the psychic planes and not necessarily on the earth plane.) It is a climax, a creative orgasm in the universal process. The explosions are the final manifestations that create the events. Again, the event may be a life situation, a work of art, a human organism, a musical tone that reaches the ear, or a new attitude toward life. Once the explosion has taken place according to the attitude, to the intent, to the thought, and to the volition responsible for the creation, then it may have reached its final explosion point as far as this particular organization is concerned. The energies released after the explosion can then be reformulated, reorganized, and reoriented. They can be gathered and set into a new direction. Thus, an entirely new psychic nuclear spiral can be started, culminating in a new nuclear point (the explosion or the climax or the end creation -- which is never really and end, but is simultaneously the new beginning of either the same or of a different type of spiral configuration). The particles that swirl after the explosion then reorganize themselves into a similar pattern, into an identical pattern, or into an altogether different pattern. The consciousness determines which pattern is going to be formed.

There are smaller and larger explosions constantly going on in the whole universe, in each of your cells, in your thinking process, in your feelings. Some of these explosions are discernible for you, my friends. You can actually feel an energy movement in your body forming successive tiny explosions, as if stars were dancing in your system. But for the most part, you are totally oblivious of these explosions taking place. You only notice the end creation, which then appears to be a fixed thing. But when you become more aware of your innermost attitudes, when you dissolve your blocks and your resistance against taking stock of yourself in truth -- and thus you become more open, and hence more finely attuned to all that is going on in an intensely alive creation -- then you will also begin to notice more, and then to perceive more realistically, some of these phenomena that I am touching upon now.

It is known to your scientists that whole planetary systems explode, disintegrate, and reform themselves in a different organization. The same principle holds true about everything else. If these explosions did not go on constantly in your inner system, then you could not renew yourself. When you feel a flow of feelings, it means that the tiniest organisms explode and reform themselves both on the physical level and on the psychic level. In your life manifestation very significant changes in your life, such as crises -- events that are momentarily traumatic -- are such explosions. Then reformation can ensue. For example, when a vicious circle has found its final, ultimate absurdity and therefore can no longer function, but when a human consciousness stubbornly refuses to heed the signs and deliberately fails to find the breaking point, then the situation explodes into a crisis. Sometimes physical death is such a phenomenon. Not always, though. Physical death can also be a very harmonious, organic, and creative process, depending on the circumstances. But the total charge of an ultimate explosion is always a renewal, even if the mind stubbornly refuses to understand. Many explosions and reformations of the same vicious circle must ultimately come to the final point of absurdity where they can no longer function in that same form. This manifests as a great crisis on the level of conscious experience. Then that crisis can be an opportunity for the consciousness responsible for this manifestation to actively seek, to grope for, and to struggle to attain first the necessary awareness and then the understanding of the meaning of what has come to pass, and thus be responsible for the reformation of the creative energies.

The explosion is always a climax. But since nothing in creation is ever final or finite, the released energies of each such climax compound and form new spiral organizations, new psychic nuclear points, new creations. That which has not taken form emits the inherent energies to create and to further fill the void with the glory of divine life and with divine consciousness. The charge is endless, just as creation is endless. The charge can be diminished only when you fear it, only when you doubt it, only when you counteract it with preposterous, nonsensical thought material. But even then the charge is never really diminished, for this is impossible. It is only held in abeyance and momentarily prevented from manifesting. It gathers "behind the scene," as it were, to be at man's disposal when he seeks the charge.

It is your task to find out where you prohibit the charge of the creative influx -- and how you thus diminish your life -- with that part of your thinking that is capable of this observation. In other words, capable of the observation that the thinking behind your negative creation is absurd; capable of noting that such thinking is not inconsequential -- as you want to believe -- but rather that it leads to action and to creation. Therefore, it is of great consequence. You must use that part of your mind that is capable of pinpointing the whole absurdity of this particular creation; of comparing it with its corresponding truth, and then of formulating the strong intent to use the same energetic power to shift the emphasis into a truthful channel. Thus you have the power of the energy forces augmented in a positive sense, instead of diminshed.

Now I will come to a specific aspect that you are dealing with in relation to what I just said. This applies to your practical life right here and now. When you find a part of yourself deadened and numbed and you are afraid of reviving it, then you find yourself in the following position: psychic nuclear points in your system that are going into a negative direction have become frightening to you. In the past you did not possess a conscious mind strong enough and intelligent enough to take note of this fact, to distinguish and to discriminate. Thus you seemed to have been faced with the two alternatives to either express your full energy flow -- and thus to act out often quite extreme destructiveness -- or to numb and to deaden those forces in order to be protected from the energies that seemed to flow only into a negative expression. This is a common predicament at a certain point in the individual's development. For example, you may feel a rush of intense energy when you are angry, when you are destructive, when you are enraged. This is a flow that you simply never feel in a positive state. Many of you have learned to express these negative attitudes in a harmless way. You take responsibility for them and you give give vent to them in a framework where no one gets hurt by these expressions. But you feel stumped because you fear their release. Therefore, you prefer to be in a numb state rather than to destroy. At this point you have not yet discovered that there is a choice. You are frightened of the momentum of the explosion and of the charge that is being created by the underlying negative attitude of this particular creation. Thus you slow down the process, as it were. And now you are reviving the process, as you should. But it cannot suffice that you merely revive your energies without understanding the consciousness behind the numbness and the deadness. In other words, the consciousness that issues forth a negative intent.

It is also important that you comprehend how the negative intent is based on a false universal idea. It is only when you have that specific understanding that you will dare to revive the energies, the energy charge that lives constantly in every particle of your being: in your spiritual being and in your material being. You will come to dare to allow the charge to flow forth.

In the course of this pathwork you have found the following phases, and this is oversimplified now. First, the search for both your conscious negativities and for your unconscious negativities. Second, the total admission of them and the owning up to them in a spirit of truthfulness. That means without denial, without annihilating yourself, and without believing yourself to be only that part. Third, seeing the false idea and the false concept that is imbedded in the specific negative attitude. First this must be articulated clearly in your consciousness and then it must be formulated clearly. I might say that some of you still battle in this phase. Of course, the phases often overlap. They are not sequential in exactly that order. This is just an overall view. Then last comes the the change of intent. In other words, the attitude that formulates the commitment from the negative attitude to the positive way of being. You are increasingly working in this way now in your meditation groups at your Center. This is valuable work that is largely responsible for the exhilarating movement, for the expansion, and for your growth, both individually and in your group as a whole.

In the course of these stages you have often found a peculiar resistance. You have found -- contrary to your intellectual understanding, illogically as it may seem -- that you are reluctant to really want to energize the numbed matter in you. The reason for this reluctance is that it is not clear in your consciousness what the negative nuclear point is. In other words, what are the various psychic events in this nuclear point? What is the specific false idea that is imbedded in it? How is this universal idea false? What is the right idea? Only when you know all that can you wholeheartedly state your positive intent. As long as this is not clarified, then there must be a fear that when the energy moves forth in its negative chain, it will culminate in its commensurate creation and explosion. Therefore, you prefer to keep yourself numb and deadened.

I am not talking about whether such deadening is advisable or not, good or bad. In other words, I am not making a generalized judgment. There are stages in life where the temporary numbing fulfills its purpose and has its function until the soul is sufficiently aware and sufficiently strengthened, and the consciousness has been sufficiently raised, so that the energies can be activated again. But now in a positive, creative way. There are other stages where even the negative explosions and the crises are inevitable and serve an important purpose for the growth of the soul. In such phases the persistent holding back of the energies is needless procrastination and waste. No rule can be made because each situation is entirely different. There is an inner mechanism at work that is directed by the inner self, by the real self, by the divine self. Only the fearful mind, the separated mind, the fragmented mind, the stubborn mind can halt the process and thereby clog up the channel to the divine self. So beware of your stubbornness, my friends. For stubbornness is a wall that shuts out the divine inner guidance.

The understanding of this material, even in its barest and most oversimplified form as I could give it here, should help you to raise your consciousness, to pinpoint your attention so as to intuitively perceive these creative processes which are at work both in all that exists and in all that you are. Therefore, it will make it easier for you to continue dealing with yourself on your path.

The acceleration of your pathwork is a tremendously joyful reality. It will create forever more joy, forever more peace, forever more excitement, and forever more fulfillment in your life -- until you will fully know that it is safe to live in a state of charge, provided the charge is positive.
