Welcome. You must read this before advancing.
The Maze is a text maze, inspired and heavily pillaged from Chris Manson's "The Maze", published in the early 80's. I make no claim that my maze is at all as good as his was. It is what it is. Before you click the link below and enter the maze, a few rules. You certainly don't have to follow them, and I have no way of enforcing it, but if you want to try the maze seriously, pay attention:
1. Turn off javascript.
2. Set your browser to display the page's color, not your colors.
3. Set your browser not to underline links.
4. Don't use the BACK button to back out of a room.
Basically, I'd like you to imagine that The Maze is real, and that the only exits you have available to you in each room are those which are actually there. If you walk into a room A from room B and there is no obvious way to get back, don't cheat. Read each description carefully; hints abound, both concerning how to get through the maze and how to solve the puzzle. And, of course, to what, exactly, the puzzle is.
There are two steps to solving the puzzle:
1. Find the path to the center of The Maze. The Question is hidden along
this path, if you pay attention.
2. Find your way out of The Maze. The answer lies hidden along the
exit path, if you can see it.
Have fun!
