 | "Swatch Aloha Classic" Maui-Hawaii event:From
November 9th to November 14th a Swatch event took place in Maui-Hawaii for the windsurf's
"Aloha Classic" race,apparently one of the most famous race in the world.The
event was very good with all of the Swatch activities snorkling,shopping and visiting all
of the island with its different places.....from the rainforest with waterfalls (wow!!!)
passing to the dry desert in just few minutes and finally (and people who was there knows
what I'm meaning with "finally") to the vulcano.Collectors were able to see the
race from the VIP Swatch tower and on Saturday they had one of the greatest experience of
the event.An helicopter's flight arount all of the island.The last evening collectors had
the opportunity to meet the athletes to the exclusive prizing ceremony in avery special
Golf Club.For this event a special SXB100 "Aloha Classic Beat" has been
released.The watch is the Boarder-X Beat with the "Webmaster" band with an extra
special tag (again!!!) with "Swatch Aloha Classic" printed on it.The watch was
given to the collectors inside a normal blue Swatch backpack with a t-shirt from the
race,a press kit,poster of the event,"Aloha Classic" VIP pass,another Swatch
pass.Here are the pictures of the watch and of the special
tag.And here are some other pictures of different goodies.Rumours
say only 300 watches were produced for the event.Another great event and another chance to
meet collectors from all around the world and evrything (as usual) has been organized in a
perfect way. |
| UBS watches: Apparently last year the
Swiss Bank UBS (Union Bank Swiss) has released two special models for their employees
only.Watches are the Divina Automatic and a Scuba Irony (not the Scuba Irony 200).They
come with a special white cardboard sleeves with UBS printed on them.The best thing is
that both of the watches have printed on the back of the case UBS.It seems to be official
because the very good quality of the back printed.Here are some

| SEV official package: Last year a special
edition of the Bestione gent watch from 1994 collection was given to the swiss SEV
employes.The watch has the loop with SEV printed on it and a sticker on the box with the
company's logo.Now I've received a complete package that is not just the watch.It comes
out with a certificate that says that just 50 of them were
produced.The watch is inside a white paper box with a sticker on it that says
"Presented to you by SEV".Inside the package there are the certificate,the
Bern's map,a little coffee spoon and the watch.As the certificate says just 50 of them

| Luc Alphand Access signing event: Last
month the ex ski World Champion has made a signing event for Swatch for the launch of the
Access functions in Serre-Chevalier (FRA).He signed for Swatch some Access watches and
gave away some signed poster.Here are some stuff pictures. |
| Wave event in Firenze 18-19 September: On
September 18th-19th the Swatch Wave Tour will be take place in Firenze (Italy).A member's
event will be take place.The whole week-end event is organized by the International Club
because the event for Italian members is just on Sunday.A special package of the
"Cutback" wave's special will be released for the event.Rumours say that there
will be a plexiglass wave as a package and it'll be limited to 500 or 600 pieces. (I think
600 will be released).It seems the package will be very good.During the event the new
Alluminium Beat will be launched but no special packages will be released for it.More info
and pictures will follow next week. |
| Sintra "Monte da Lua" event - "Sun
and Moon" Special Club '99 Official Launch: From August 10th to August 12th
a Swatch event took place in Sintra (Portugal) 35km. from Lisbon.Collectors had the
opportunity to see the last eclipse of the Millenium from the famous "Mountain of the
Moon".To all of them were given a very unique cardboard Swatch sunglasses for seeing
the Eclipse.Then a "Swatch-Beat" backpack was given to everybody with a Sintra's
presentation book,a city map,a very nice "Monte da Lua's Access" t-shirt.Here are some
pictures of these items.The August 12th was the day of the Official Launch of the second
brand new Club'99 watch called "Sun and the Moon".First we have been to wine's
tasting in a typical portuguese place.After an introduction about those wines and of
course after the wine's tasting we've received the best surprise (in my opinion) of the
event. A limited (25 pieces only!!!!) edition bottle of red wine from 1983 (same year of
Swatch first issue) with a special Swatch tag on it and also on the outside cardboard.On
the special tag "Sun and Moon-Special Club 99-Official Launch Sintra August the 11th
99".Here are some pictures of the bottle and the special tag.Then in the evening
the moment of the official launch has arrived.The "Sun and Moon" watch has be
presented and given to the collectors.The watch is a Scuba 200 watch.It has a very nice
item on the face.To the 6's position there's rappresented the sun and the moon
movement.......Surpises and fun finished on Friday when all of the collectors have
gone.Once again another great job from the Swatch's crew.....THANK YOU VERY MUCH Laurance
and Patrick for another unbeliveable moment together.See you soon to the next one. |
| "Eros Ramazzotti Staff" Irony special:
A few number of an old Chrono Irony (I don't know the model yet) with an extra tag and
loop has been produced for the Eros Ramazzotti (italian famous singer) staff.It was given
to the people that works for new tour.More news and pictures will follow. |
| Vasco Rossi Specials: Rumours say that the
very popular singer Vasco Rossi asked Swatch to release a special model for his new
Tour.It seems that a special "Vasco Rossi Beat" has been released for the
beginning of the tour and a special "Vasco Rossi Access" will be released for
the end of the tour.No more news about the quantity but they should be available in the
Swatch stores in Italy or at least to the concerts.More informations will follow. |
| "Be Mine" Easter French Special: For
the Easter a special package of the "Be Mine" has been released in France.The
package is the usual sleeve ever used.The front has the picture of the watch and
"Arome Chocolat" printed on it.The back just the back of the watch printed on
it.I don't know how many of those were produced.Here are some pictures of the package. |
| Zurich Financial Service Access (complete package):
As we know from a long time (thanx to Andreas's page) the swiss financial company
called "Zurich Financial Service" released for the employees only,the Clearance
Access with a refitted band and with an extra loop with the name of the company printed on
it.I've seen lots of those watches coming out in a normal plastic box.Then the Bonello's
published the picture of the watch with something as an extra sleeve or an extra warranty
but I tried to ask everywhere but nobody knew about that.Finally I could find how it comes
out with all of the stuff.The watch is inside a white cardboard with a sticker on it
with the name of the company printed on it.Inside there's the plastic box with an extra
warranty with the same design of the band of the watch.Here are some pictures of the complete

| Swiss Event and Special: Early in June an
event will take place in Switzerland ( not the one reserved to Gold Members).A special
package with an old refitted watch will be released for this event.No more further
informationat the moment :-( |

| "Cirque du Soleil" Special:
Rumours say that a very nice special will be released in June for the canadian circus
called "Cirque du Soleil".This is a particular circus because there's no animal
working but just people.The watch will be launched in their EuropeanTour during the show
in Napoli (Italy).The watch will be given to the people present to the show and Mr.Hayeck
Jr. will be there for the launch of that special that I've heard it's very nice.More
details will follow. |
| New IOC Olympia Logo watches: In the last
6 months the IOC made 3 different Swatch watches with the Olympia logo. They made
first the Assault SBK 114 Aquachrono with white olympic rings instead of number 12.Then
they made the Big Tselim GB 735 gent with the white rings again to the "12
position".The last they produced is the Caffèlatte GB 736 gent with coloured rings
just above the 12.It seems they made the Caffèlatte because they didn't like the Big
Tselim (all black) with white rings.So a little quantity of Big Tselim has been
produced.I've heard that also few of Caffèlatte were produced.Here are pictures of

| Sierra Nevada Access Event: From March
10th to 14th a Swatch event took place in Sierra Nevada (Spain) for the final act of the
Ski World Cup.Here's a report of the wonderful event where fortunally I've been to.On
March the 10th in the late afternoon there has been the welcome drink for collectors.A
limited edition (500 pieces) of a Sierra
Nevada back pack was given to all the collectors with a
personal Swatch pass.The backpack contains a Sierra Nevada t-shirt,a Swatch umbrella,a
World Cup presentation book,a Boarder-X hat (the one from Val di Sole).In the following
days collectors have the possibility to ski (free access with the Swatch pass),visiting
places as the city of Granada and the wonderful Alhambra Palace.....lunches and dinners
always in wonderful tipicals resturants.All the days we have the possibility to seeing
races of the Ski World Cup with free access tickets and the VIP zone only access with the
Swatch pass.In downtown Sierra Nevada there was the Swatch-Dainese truck with
food,drinks,music and fun all the day.On Friday we have the possibility to get the "Jungle" special by Poussin.....and we received a special visit from Mr.Hayek who signed the
specials.This event has been recorded by a dutch television.Saturday was the day with all
the Swatch collectors (also with the ones who joined to "one day package") and
in the evening there has been a spectacular Swatch Party with athletes,presses and
VIP.Swatch released for this event 1200 Sierra Nevada Access.To get this watch you have to
put your hand with a little cardboard in a black place where there were some holes.From
the other side there were some hands (you could not see the persons inside) that give you
the watch only with no box.The watch is the Sierra Nevada Access SKK 103X.It's the
Freeride Access with an extra band and extra
loop. "Granada-Sierra Nevada-Estacion de Esqui y
Montana" is printed on the special loop.We had the possibility to see a wonderful
show and then the chance to win a Swatch prize sliding our Sierra Nevada Access in a
Swatch machine.Here are some pictures of the party,the machine where you have to slide your
watch and the winning prize cardboard and othe stuff.The watch is limited to 1200 given to
the guest.I've seen that they sold out them and lots of people (not the collectors) was
wearing it, so I think this time it'll be quite rare.On the last day (Sunday) there was
the collector's departure but first we had the chance to get the new Club Watch called
"Space Dream".There was also a competition with a great Swatch jacket (the
one for the Ski World Cup Swatch timing men only).That's it for this event.I have the
possibility to meet lots of collectors from all over the Europe..........Peter and Sean
Rollings from UK (thank you again!!!!!) Siro Zangrandi, Rino and Tony from
Switzerland,Ricardo Rocha, Rui Mendez, Ana and Pedro from Portugal and others great
collectors. Before finishing I want to thank the Swatch crew and in particular
Anita,Stephanie,Laurance,Victor and Patrick for everything and the Dainese crew for the
fun......and finally my advice is when you can enjoy the Swatch event......If you
need the Sierra Nevada Access let me know because I've an extra one. |
| "ABN AMBRO World Tennis Tournament"
special: This year in Rotterdam for the ATP "ABN AMBRO World Tennis
Tournament" a special package of the GK772 was released.The package is similar to the
one of the regular collection,but it contains a different numbered sleeve with
printed "ABN AMBRO WorldTennis Tournament",2 tennis balls and the watch.The
watch has on the above band an extra pin with printed the same thing of the sleeve.1500 of
them were released numbered on the inside sleeve and on the back of the package with a

| Singapore Adamastor Special: A specially
designed of the Adamastor watch seems to be released soon in Singapore.More news will

| Planetarium Curiosity!!! Swatch made the first production of "Planetarium" with a
wrong printed. As you can see in the month of June after the 19th there's the 22nd.....then
there's normally the 21th and then the 22nd again :-) I've heard that all the first
production has been produced in this way, as you can see also in the Official catalogue
where you can find this mistake.When I called them they told that everything has been
already changed.Let's see..... |
| Agatic Agatac Special: A special package of "Agatic
Agatac" GK280 has been released in Spain.It's a transparent package with the watch
and a picture's book made by the "Agatic Agatac" artist Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.Pictures are better than words....News:The artist of the "Agatic Agatac" watch
Agatha Ruiz dela Preda will be at the Sierra Nevada event for signing watches and special
packages.....so take them with you!!! |
| Sierra Nevada and Laax Specials: A special Access will be
released for the final act of the Ski World Cup, from March 10th to 14th in Sierra
Nevada.Very few of them will be produced and they will be given only to the people who'll
join to this Swatch International event.An Access too will be given to the people who'll
join the final act of the Boarder-X from April 8th to 11th in Laax (CH). There will be
also a special package.The watch and the package will be different from the Val di Sole
Access. |
| Taiwanese and US "Time for love" packages:This year
two different special packagings were released for the "Time for Love"
Valentine's Special.The first one is from Taiwan.The package is a plexiglass tube with
some candies on it.The second one is from US (Seaport).No special package but when you buy
it, they give you a Swatch candies package.Here
are the pictures of the Taiwanese "Time for Love" with all of the stuff and the
plexiglass tube with candies. In Italy no special package...but candies again with the
purchase as you can see.By

| Val di Sole Access: From January 28th to January 30th Italy has
been the place where the "Swatch Boardercross World Championship 1999" took
place.Here's a logo of the
Championship.Just for knowing in the men's race the winner was the member of the Swatch
ProTeam Shaun Palmer. On Saturday Jan.30th a Swatch event took place in Val di Sole
(Trentino) during the final act of the championship.They gave everyone a small package
with inside a Boarder X hat, a daily pass,some Swatch pens and a copy of "Swatch
Watch News".Then there was a limited "Boarder-X Access" with a special
sleeve and a special tags on the band.The sleeve is black with "Val di Sole'99-ISF
Snowboard World Championships" - " 24th-31st January 1999" printed. The
watch is the one that will be available worldwide but with two extra tags. The above tag
has "1st Boarder-X Worlds '99" printed,the upon tag has "Access Val di
Sole" printed.The watch is limited to 50 pieces given to the Collectors (one
each)......so it seems this time will be a little bit more difficult to find.Here are
pictures of the watch with the two tags.And here
are the pictures of the sleeve package. Lots of stuff was available there ,as Boarder-X
posters brochures,stickers......for everyone.Here's a picture of some stuff given to
collectors.Then there was some other Swatch stuff very hard to find.Something really good
was the snowboarder athlete's t-shirt
with the number of the starting list just given to snowboarder for the race. An Access book given to the press and
media with the description of the Boarder-X Access's functions and pictures.A wonderful O'Neil Boarder-X snow jacket just for
the media and press........if somebody needs the watch e-mail me and I'll try to find out
with other Italian Collectors have been there.Update: It seems that the same watch will be given for the final act of Boarder-X
in Laax (Switzerland) in April with different package and different tags.At least they
will change the location logo.Update 2:The watch for the final act of the Boarder-X in Laax (April 8th-11th) will
be the normal Boarder-X access with a new band and new package too.So the limitation of
the Val di Sole Boarder-X Access should be 50 pieces. |
| "Love and Nature" Thailand special:
In honour of the 72th birthday of "His Majesty the King" the first grandchild
"Her Royal Highness Princess Bajrakitiyabha" has designed and named a special
Swatch watch called "Love and Nature". The watch comes in a special package with
all of the story of it printed.It's limited to 30.000 pieces all numbered on the back of
the case and sold just in Thailand.Here are the pictures of the very nice watch. |
| Tampere Access: Tampere is one of the biggest cities in Finland
and this year for the local transporting company is the 50th Birthday. Swatch released
three different Menang Access (the one from the Commonwealth Games in Malaysia) with a
refitted band.The first one has a flexible band,the others have a blue velcro band and a
black velcro band. No celebrating logos or tags on them......the only way of recognizing
that they are from Finland is the price in FIM :-). Here are the

| Yoo-Hoo Swatch: In United States there's a choccolate's drink
called Yoo-Hoo.In 1998 collecting 160 points from 9oz. & 15.5 oz. bottles of the drink
there was the possibility to get a Special Yoo-Hoo Swatch. The watch is the Tin Toy GK155
with a refitted band rappresenting the drink's logo.Now the time to win is over.I don't
know how many of them were produced.Here is the picture of the

| Girlsgout Swatch: In 1997 the Girlsgout celebrated the 85th
birthday.For the event it was launched a Transparent GK209 with a refitted band.There's
printed:"85 Birthday-1912-1997"-"Fairplex-Pomona-May 24-25,1997".It
was given to the Girlgouts in that place.I don't know how many of them were

| Alien Baby Event in NY:On December 13th in NY (Seaport Store)
there was a party with the Alien Baby's artist Marco.He signed his watches and there was
available also a special package of the Alien Baby (the same of the Timeship event in
September).Lots of extra suff of the artist was given for free (postcards in particular)
and also there was a big poster numbered (XXX/106) signed by Marco with the babies of the
watch. Here 's a picture of the signed numbered
