This an art form where the artist uses leather for a 
canvas and a soldering iron for a brush. The images 
is burned on to the leather with the soldering iron. 
It is then mounted on a wooden frame, usually made 
from railway sleepers. 
The themes of pyrographic art is mostly wildlife and 
each artist will add his or her own unique talents, 
background and perceptions to the subject.
In this case, the artist lives in Africa, 
South Africa to be exact and therfore the themes are 
of African wildlife.
This art form requires extra-ordinary skill, since 
one slip can ruin the leather or leave the artist 
with a nasty burn. 
      
Like all art forms, the artist must know his subject

study of the animals.
