Madonna Louise Veronica Ciccone was born in August 16th, 1958 in Bay City, Michigan, a city next to Detroit. Little Nonni, as she was called in childhood, remembers a warm and loving home life up until the severe illness and death of her mother, in 1963 when she was only five years old, for whom she is named.

A good student ("My father rewarded us with money for good grades, so I always got the best report card in the family"), Madonna soon assumed much of the mothering role with her siblings: "I feel like all my adolescence was spent taking care of babies and changing diapers and baby-sitting. I have to say I resented it, because when everybody was out playing, I was stuck with all these adult responsabilities". That resentment, however, gave birth to something important.

A rebel by nature, Madonna was set on finding her way out of Cinderella-like drudgery. And because she loved to dance, she convinced her father that, instead of taking piano lessons like her brothers and sisters, she should study ballet. Madonna won a scholarship to the University of Michigan, where she studied for five semesters under Christopher Flynn, who owned a ballet school in nearby Rochester. He became her mentor encoraging her dedication and discipline. She recalls, "I really loved him. He was like a brother and a friend, an imaginary lover, and my first taste of what I wanted to do, that I should go to New York and try for it."

When she went to New York, she was decided to be a dancer, but after months of tiresome classes of ballet, she didn't want to be a dancer anymore. She just know that she wanted to be very famous." I wanted to dance in New York, but all the good companies were full, they didn't need me. I couldn't wait five years to get a breake, so I started going to musical theatre auditions".

And then she knew a man who had a band called "The Breackfast Club", she started to play drums, because they had already a singer, played guitar, and she wrote some lyrics to her band too. In one of her musicals theatre auditions she knew two french managers that loved listen Madonna singing and see her way to sing a song. They promise the best things to Madonna, fame and money, so she decided to go to France and leave "The Breakfast Club", and when she went there she saw that it doesn't seem like she would like, she said that the things when are get too easy doesn't take too many time, so she said to the French managers she was visit her family in New York and never came back to France, she said she would come back to France only when she became famous.

When she came back to New York, she goes on to "The Breakfast Club", she convinced them she could sing song, and she sung "Everybody".

Her first single was "Everybody" of course, and her first album was entitled simply "MADONNA". Her second album took her to the top of the charts music, number one in Bilboard with the song "Like a Virgin", and million of copies solded with the album with the same tittle. In her third album "True Blue", appears the first polemic in you career, where she sungs "Papa don't preach", talking about abortion. It's not necessary to say that after this polemic, emerged a lot of other ones, like the video for "Like a Prayer", the "Bold Ambition World Tour", her third world tour, where she sungs a hot version of "Like a Virgin", her video for "Justify my love" her movies "In bed with Madonna - Thruth or Dare", "Body of Evidence", her album and video "Erotica", her book SEX, her fourth tour "The Girlie Show" .....and a lot of other polemic things.

But now, Madonna looks like a different person, a new Madonna, very calm and behave. It's because now she is the mother of a beautiful child, Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, and because she is EVITA in her movie of Alan Parker, with Antonio Banderas as Ché Guevara, Jonattan Pryce as Juan Peron, and on the principal role, Madonna!

Everybody

I know you've been waiting
Yeah
I've been watching you
Yeah
I know you wanna get up
Yeah
Come on

Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing

Let the music take control
Find a groove and let yourself go
When the room begins to sway
You know what I'm trying to say

Come on take a chance
Get up and start to dance
Let the D.J. shake you
Let the music take you

Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing

Let your body take a ride
Feel the beat and step inside
Music makes the world go 'round
You can turn your troubles upside down

Gonna have to change your mind
Gonna leave your troubles behind
Your body gets the notion
When your feet can make the motion

Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
Everybody, come on dance and sing
Everybody, get up and do your thing
